Der ausgestiegene Gangster Gary Stevens ist auf der Flucht vor dem Syndikat. Ein einsam gelegenes Strandhaus scheint das perfekte Versteck zu sein, bis die mysteriöse Gilly auftaucht.
Death in Deep Water ist ein ganz großer Knaller, manipuliert unglaublich geschickt, nimmt sehr schnell für die Hauptfiguren ein. Gute Rollen, gute Darsteller, zwischendrin sogar ein Stück Rebecca. Die Geschichte ist so gut, daß sogar die permanente (Studio-)Helligkeit nichts ausmacht.
